I noticed that a lot of people are making terrible mistakes when it comes to build their online business. One of them is to focus too much on design instead of content and structure. Check out this 10-minute video as part of my ongoing “Do What You Love Video Blog”:
I’m looking forward to your comments.

I totally agree. Everyone has to start somewhere, so do-it-yourselfers shouldn’t expect to come out of the starting gate with a well-designed site and deep content. It takes time to learn how to structure a site and write content that brings your target market to your door. What brings tears to my eyes is seeing people who’ve been at it for years but haven’t grown beyond that initial ragamuffin site design. The web changes at the speed of light and a site design that wowed people in 2001 looks old and outdated in 2010. That’s a flaw that can cost you credibility…and on the web, credibility equals sales. Using Wordpress is certainly the easiest way to keep a site design updated over time.
Good. Very useful.
Great point on making sure your website has direction. I read from Marlon Sanders that it is a great idea to have AT LEAST 3 name capture mechanisms on your blog.I like the bottom bar pop up for the free e-book download that you have here!
Quick question: For redesigning a certain element of your WordPress blog or even adding a bottom bar like you did, do you have full control of that or is it something you outsource?
Thanks!
Hi Luis! You can outsource all the redesign of wordpress elements on the blog. I decide what I want and then outsource!
